John Murphy has been a cabinet maker for over 35 years.
After training at the London College of Furniture and gaining experience in the London workshops, he established his own business in Brighton. In 2003 he relocated to Tornapress, near Kishorn in the North West Highlands, overlooked by the Torridon and Applecross hills.
The workshop produces a wide variety of bespoke
timber-based furniture, including individual pieces, fitted domestic/office furniture and architectural joinery. Designs are contemporary, with clean simple lines and the natural beauty of the wood providing decoration.
All pieces are designed and made to order. If you have something in mind, John will be happy to discuss your ideas and provide an estimate of cost before designs are put to paper.
